Colourful illustrated seeds with the words Planting seeds for tomorrow

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I would like to share with you my journey as a children’s book author, which began ten years ago. Back then, I noticed a lack of children’s books in stores that seamlessly blended fun and meaningful life lessons. As an educator, it has always been my heart’s desire to create stories that children love to read while learning important values and life skills along the way.

I firmly believe that children’s books should do more than just entertain. They can help children understand their feelings, build good relationships, develop a positive attitude, and learn how to face life’s challenges. This belief has inspired me to write stories that are both enjoyable and educational.

Over the past decade, I have crafted more than ten children’s books. Each book focuses on developing specific social and emotional skills to help children grow into thoughtful, confident, and caring individuals.

As a self-publishing children’s book author, finding the right illustrator is one of the most critical and challenging parts of the journey. In picture books, artwork does not just support the narrative, it brings it to life. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented artists. However, not every partnership is a perfect match and some have led to difficult delays. Finding dedicated illustrators who truly capture the vision is a standard worth holding out for. My young readers deserve nothing less than a wonderful, immersive reading experience.

My first book, A Tale of Two Seeds, was published in 2018. It teaches children the beauty of patience and delayed gratification. This book holds a special place in my heart because it marked the beginning of my writing journey. I am currently working on its second edition.

In 2025, I was delighted to release three more of my books: The Rooster That Wanted To Sing, Ellis Played The Drumroll Again, and Soar, Edgar! Soar! Each book reflects my passion for using storytelling to encourage personal growth. Looking ahead, I am excited to publish a few more titles over the next three to six months, offering families an even wider selection of meaningful stories.

It is my heartfelt hope that teachers, parents, grandparents, and children alike will find these books helpful in nurturing essential socio-emotional skills, especially during these formative childhood years.

Thank you for being part of this journey. With your support, I hope to bring more wholesome, uplifting, and inspiring stories to young minds.

With warmest wishes,

Elizabeth Lee
